Welcome to Evolving Pictures Entertainment

MBO first introduced MX4D, also known as MX4D Motion EFX Theatre, at its flagship location, MBO Cinemas Starling Mall. It was later also incorporated at its latest East Coast location, MBO Kuantan City Mall, in October.

Both 4DX and MX4D feature motion seats with built-in motion and effects that will sync with the action on screen and hall environments that include wind, fog and strobe lights to make it seem as though the audiences are part of the action taking place on screen themselves.

While 4DX comes from South Korea, MX4D is created by Californian systems integrator, MediaMation.

The MOU (memorandum of understanding) signed between GSC and CJ 4DPLEX will bring 4DX to the new cinema, also GSC's only location in Johor, by early 2018.

This will benefit not only Malaysians but also neighbouring Singapore, whose residents also frequently visit the southern state of Malaysia to catch the latest movies in cinemas.

While this will be the first 4DX theatre to come to Malaysia, a similar 4D cinema technology was brought into the country by another exhibitor, MBO Cinemas, earlier this year.

The next big thing for movie theaters is EPE4DX.. Necroscope 4D is anticipated to be one of the World's First Globally Distributed 4D Motion Pictures..

14 Dec – Malaysians will soon have another greatly immersive way to indulge in cinematic pleasures as the 4DX technology is coming soon to the southern state Johor.

Yesterday, it was announced at the CineAsia trade show, held at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre, that Malaysia's Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) and South Korea's CJ 4DPLEX have entered a partnership to bring the latter's 4DX theatre to GSC Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru.

"We believe that 4DX, as one of the world's leading technologies in premium cinematic entertainment, will transform the way Malaysians enjoy films at our cinemas, offering unforgettable sensory experiences you just can't get at home," said Ms. Koh Mei Lee, CEO of GSC, in a statement.
