A first-of-its-kind mall opens in Egypt, bringing 4DX cinema and snow to the region​

​Mall of Egypt officially opened its doors on Thursday, March 2, unveiling a first-of-its-kind shopping and leisure destination in the country. Highlights include Ski Egypt, which brings snow to the city and the African continent for the first time; and VOX Cinemas, with a total of 21 theatres housing one 4DX screen.

Mall of Egypt also houses 350 local and international retailers across 165,000 square metres, with 6,500 car parking spaces provided.

The development is the result of an AED 2.6 billion investment by Majid Al Futtaim, the company behind Mall of the Emirates in Dubai and is set to become Cairo’s go-to shopping destination for tourists and residents alike.
